Frequently Asked Questions
Section 1: Getting Started
-
Message us via WhatsApp at +65 8201 7560 or through our website contact form. A member of our team will respond promptly to schedule a private and confidential appointment, either online or in-person
-
Yes. You can begin with an exploratory 30-minute online session to ensure you feel comfortable with your therapist before committing to ongoing sessions.
-
We aim to schedule appointments as quickly as possible. Contact us and someone from the team will get back to you promptly to find a suitable time.
Section 2: Sessions & Confidentiality
-
A standard individual therapy session lasts 50–60 minutes. Couples sessions are typically 90 minutes to allow adequate time for both partners to be heard.
-
Yes, all sessions are fully confidential. We comply with all data privacy and storage requirements under Singapore law and industry standards. Confidentiality is only broken in rare legal circumstances, such as imminent risk of harm. Read more in our blog here.
Our privacy policy can be found in the link here
-
Your therapist / counselor will work with you to understand your personal situation and help you develop strategies for your specific challenges. Sessions are tailored to you — there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Over a series of sessions, the aim is sustainable improvement in your mental health and wellbeing.
-
A typical client of ours has between 5-10 weekly sessions. Sometimes, more frequent or longer sessions are needed in critical situations. Long standing clients take less frequent sessions to sustain the benefits over a longer period of time.
Section 3: Services
-
We offer individual therapy, couples and relationship counselling, teen and family therapy, ADHD and ASD/Autism assessments, psychological assessments (IQ, personality disorders, learning disorders, MCI/Dementia), executive coaching, and corporate wellness solutions including EAP support.
-
Yes. We work with clients globally via online sessions. Clients based in Dubai, London, New York, Amsterdam, Zurich, Tokyo, Jakarta, and many even in Singapore increasingly prefer remote sessions for their convenience.
-
Our lead therapist is an integrative psychotherapist trained in multiple modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Levels 1 & 2), Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Psychodynamic Therapy, Existential Therapy, Humanistic Therapies, Solutions Focused Therapy, and Transactional Analysis (TA).
-
Yes. We work with teens and children (13+) on issues including anxiety, digital addiction, self-esteem, peer relationships, academic stress, family dynamics, and identity questions. We typically work with the family together as part of the therapeutic process. We offer neurodiversity tests for children younger than 13 if needed (ADD/ADHD).
Section 4: ADHD & Autism Assessments
-
We offer assessments for ADHD, ASD/Autism, Cognitive Impairment/Dementia (MCI), IQ, Personality Disorders, and Learning Disorders. Our psychologists use a range of validated assessment tools and provide written reports that you can use to submit for official purposes.
-
Assessment timelines vary depending on the evaluation required and can range from 1.5 hours to 4-6 hours.
-
Public options such as MOE, IMH, CDU at KKH, and NUH offer high-quality assessments, sometimes subsidised or free for eligible Singaporeans, but waiting times can be significant. A private assessment is suitable if you need results quickly, are not covered by public subsidies, or require an ASD/Autism assessment (which is not fully covered by public resources currently).
Section 5: Fees & Payment
-
Please refer to our Services and Fees page for details on fees. Charges vary by session type (individual, couples, assessment). Payment is accepted via credit/debit card, bank transfer, or PayNow.
-
Many private insurance policies cover psychotherapy and counselling. We recommend checking with your insurer directly. Singaporeans may also wish to explore Medisave-related options — see our insurance and subsidies page for details.
-
Short-notice cancellations are non-refundable without substantiation. Full terms are included in the client contract and on our fees and services page.
Section 6: Qualifications & Credentials
